As Barack Hussein Obama proudly takes the office of the presidency tomorrow, what are your hopes for this administration's first moves while in office? I am hopeful that he focuses our troops in Afghanistan against the rebuilding of the Taliban, who are our real enemies over there, lest we forget. I am also hopeful that he can pull the economy out of the crapper. Let us pray.

Why are the Taliban our "real enemy"? What are the Taliban going to do to us? Make us wear burkas and do heroin?
I don't see how a fringe group in an impoverished country can have any effect on us.

As far as my hopes go, I hope he proposes to cut the US corporate income tax rate.

Let's see, they're the ones who actually attacked us on 9/11, and we need to finish the job of annihilating them? Not that I'm vengeful or anything. But allowing them to rebuild their power center is surely a mistake.

Of the nineteen terrorists that flew planes into buildings on 9/11, NONE were Taliban. The Taliban provided safe haven for those terrorists but they aren't the "real" enemy. That said, I agree with you that allowing them to return to power would be a mistake.

Well, come on, John, it's not like we're going to actually do anything to the Saudi's now, is it?
